June has been a warm and wet month, perfect weather for over-seeding sports pitches, ensuring rapid germination and establishment of new seeds. The attached image shows 24 bags of seed ready to go on the Newport Drive playing field facility  at Winterton, 9th June. Over seeding was carried out using a BLEC disc seeder which cuts slits into the soil delivering seed into the slits and rolling them down again.  A return visit 2 weeks later to check progress and the new shoots are clearly visible.
