After a wet 2012 and a long cold winter many sporst surfaces are in need of intensive renovation work to improve the playing surface. The prolonged periods of wet weather last year have washed nutrients thru the soil and the long cold spell this winter had dammaged grass cover.   

     A late spring & low temperatures means the grass is still struggling to catch up and recover, the current dry spell is also causing problems in many areas.

Overseeding, verti-drain decompaction and fertiliser applications are all essential elements of seasonal renovation work, but this year they require more careful consideration to maintain a quality playing surface throughout 2013.
